Ethernet data access port independent of video
Description The VBrick
ATM interface supports full Layer 3 routing function and IP over ATM
(RFC-1483/1577). When so configured, the VBrick-6000 sends/receives
MPEG-2 video over an ATM network, and also provides full high
speed network access via the Ethernet port on the VBrick.

Applications Applications
include:
- • Bring ATM fiber to a classroom for video and use the
Ethernet port to provide high speed Internet Access. Eliminate the
need for an additional copper wire for Internet or general network
access.
- • Remote traffic monitoring locations sending MPEG-2 video
over ATM, and remote equipment is controlled via VBrick Ethernet
port. Eliminate the need for network access equipment, terminal
servers, etc.
