Purpose To prevent a VBrick encoder from sending a video stream to a VBrick decoder that is no longer available.

Description If an encoder is designated to transmit to any decoder, whether a VBrick decoder or no, the encoder periodically "ping" the decoder to ensure it is still present and operational. Without this feature, an encoder could stream to a Unicast address even when the decoder has been turned off or is otherwise unavailable.
