Shelly Heiden
Chief Executive Officer
Shelly Heiden has over 15 years of experience in customer-facing organizations including roles in executive leadership, sales, marketing, business development, service, and support. As VBrick’s Chief Executive Officer, Shelly is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the company. She is also a member of VBrick’s Board of Directors.
Prior to VBrick, Shelly served as Executive Vice President of Global Operations for Plateau Systems where she was responsible for all customer-facing organizations worldwide, including sales, marketing, service and support. At Plateau, she managed the company’s acquisition by SuccessFactors/SAP. Post acquisition, she stayed on as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Professional Services and a member of the SAP Global Executive Team.
Shelly began her professional career with GE Capital Consulting as a Managing Director delivering IT staffing and technology solutions. From there she was promoted to Vice President of the Industry Solutions Group (after GE Capital Consulting was acquired by PSInet, Inc.).
Brian Murphy
President and COO
Brian Murphy has over 25 years of experience in operational oversight, financial management, strategic planning and development as well as executive leadership roles in software/SaaS organizations. Prior to VBrick, Brian spent twelve years as President & Chief Operating Officer of Plateau Systems. Brian realized a highly successful acquisition of the company by SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP). Prior to Plateau he founded and served as CEO of Sensory Computer; a firm specializing in content development and management of integrated, enterprise-wide, e-learning solutions.
Brian started his professional career in finance, serving as Vice President and Chief Cross Currency trader at JP Morgan. Later, Brian served as First Vice President and Treasurer of the New York office of BSI, a private Swiss investment house, where he led the capital markets group. Regardless of the industry, Brian’s career experience displays a proven ability to create an organizational vision, mission, and strategic business model; he is focused on operational execution, ensuring that the people, processes and financials are in-place to drive results.
Brian has an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School as well as an Ed.D in Education Administration and a BA in East Asian Studies from Columbia University.
Hung Vu
Chief Technology Officer
Hung Vu is a technologist and business leader focused on building/rebuilding and inspiring high-performance product teams; delivering best-in-class enterprise product suites for more than 25 years. Prior to VBrick, Hung served as Chief Technology Officer of eChalk, driving the technology expansion of its social and mobile learning SaaS platform. He led the effort to develop web 3.0 enterprise content management, federated ID management, SOA, ESB, no-SQL and out-of-the-box cloud integration with Google and Microsoft Live.edu. At Telarix, he drove the technology direction of the company’s TELCO Interconnect Optimization product suite, iXTools, used by 8 out of 10 of the world’s largest global carriers. Hung spent a number of years building a technology team at Plateau Systems, his team delivered a comprehensive Talent Management suite that was recognized as best-in-class enterprise LMS by the leading market analysts firms for many years.
As an entrepreneur, Hung founded and operated a multi-million dollar DoD related software firm, NeoQuest Technologies. Prior to that, he was acting director of the QA, QC and Tools department at Proxicom.
Hung’s proven leadership began in the US Naval Reserve where he had the honor of being the first Naturalized Vietnamese-born Naval Aviator (`87). He graduated from Elmhurst College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and completed the Leading Product Development program at the Harvard Business School.
Hung is a participating member of several CTO and User Experience chapters in the US. He was named one of Washington D.C.’s Top 10 Technology Executives by the Washington Post and Techway Magazine. In 2010 he was a finalist for the Washington Business Journal Venture Capital Awards.
Michael Agli
Vice President of Finance
Michael Agli is responsible for the finance, planning and administrative operations at VBrick. In this role Mr. Agli works closely with all departments to oversee the management of financial operations including the preparation of financial statements, managing the budgeting process, providing financial and operational projections at the unit and company level and utilizing comprehensive performance metrics to work with the management team to ensure efficient operations and maximum profitability.
Mr. Agli has more than 20 years of experience in finance, M&A, business development and operations. Mr. Agli has been an effective member of Senior Management teams at multiple entrepreneurial technology based organizations. Prior to joining VBrick Systems, Inc., Mr. Agli served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Resolute Partners, L.L.C. In this role Mr. Agli was responsible for the production of all financial reporting as well as the dissemination of internal management metrics, negotiation of partner contracts, pricing, human resources and management of external financial and legal relationships. Mr. Agli was also instrumental in negotiating and integrating merger and acquisition opportunities that allowed Resolute Partners to expand its service offering across all branches of the United States Military.
Prior to joining Resolute Partners, Mr. Agli served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Connecticut Telephone. While in this capacity, Michael managed all aspects of the company's finance, accounting and revenue assurance including the management of all carrier, banking and investor relationships. Michael played an instrumental role in the sale of Connecticut Telephone for a purchase price of $68 million. Mr. Agli also coordinated the successful purchase and integration of numerous acquisitions while with Connecticut Telephone.
Mr. Agli holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance and Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Rick Rumbarger
Vice President of Product
Rick Rumbarger is a nationally recognized technology executive with over twenty years of progressive hands on experience in a variety of business and government oriented organizations. He has created and led successful teams of professionals in product development, product management, product marketing and IT operations. In 2009 and again in 2012 Mr. Rumbarger was awarded Nation’s Top 3 Product Executives (Stevie) by the American Business Awards.
Prior to coming to VBrick, Mr. Rumbarger led the product management group for Neustar’s (NSR:NYSE) Enterprise division where he managed industry leading cloud-based products such as UltraDNS and SiteProtect. Previous to Neustar he led product management efforts for Network Solutions, the founding registrar of the internet and was a Vice President at Digital Commerce Corporation. Mr. Rumbarger holds several industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Pragmatic Marketing Certified. Mr. Rumbarger is a graduate of the international SAS program from University of Pittsburgh and holds a business degree from Ithaca College.
Bryan Neumann
Vice President of Operations
Bryan Neumann has over 20 years of experience in high-tech operations and manufacturing. Bryan has held management and engineering positions at: American Dynamics Manufacturing Engineering where he was responsible for automated circuit board assembly and the selection, installation, and operation of MRPII system; Dataswitch Corporation Manufacturing Engineering where he implemented MRP systems, was responsible for manufacturing facility implementation, and managing off-shore manufacturing subcontractors; and Trinitech Systems Inc., where he served as Vice President of Hardware Technology where he was responsible for manufacturing, product development, customer service, purchasing, quality assurance, and hardware sales.
